Every year, on National Youth Day, i.e. on 12th January puja and garland is offered to the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Hutatma Park, Kolhapur in the presence of devotees, admirers, and dignitaries of Kolhapur Municipal Corporation. Stotras are chanted in the praise of Swamiji, and a passage is read from Swamiji’s literature. Cultural programmes for the gathered school children are also organised. Programme ends with the distribution of prasad.
